Artist’s Statement

An intense need to create defines my existence. I live for the rush of turning a thought or an idea into something tangible. My work is about my direct experience of what it is like living in the world today. The world is an infinite resource of inspiration and making art is about being present, having the courage to be imperfect and vulnerable while following my heart and intuition. I make art out of myself, out of my feelings, incorporating my full range of emotions. I make them visible on a canvas in a unique, bold and fun way. I strive for simplicity, elegance, beauty.

My work is very personal, but it becomes universal by turning my personal experience into something visual. I shape feelings and ideas into abstract forms and let them flood the universe with my whole being in the hope for human connection and shared meaning.
